We proposed in Part 1 that our evolution was under a three pronged attack and in Parts 2a&b we explored the impacts of capitalism, now for the other two. How well are we faring under authoritarian government regimes and the rule of religious doctrine?

It plays out much the same as capitalism for both the human and non-human component of authoritarian governmental regimes – only worse…

Leaders supposedly doing what is best for the people – but like capitalism – only for a minority of the people with total disregard for the natural environment. On top of that, there exists a blatant disregard for basic human rights. For the first time ever the collective GDP of countries under authoritarian rule is higher than that of democratic nations. Disregard for both the natural environment and basic human rights clearly rewards…

Human resources don’t fair so well under religious doctrine either, we’re pitted against one another – the most fundamental method of exerting control – physically and sometimes sexually abused, told what to believe and how to behave, what to wear, eat, and drink – in line with centuries old practices… for the benefit of whom – certainly not us…

We’ve chosen this – all of this – we’ve allowed ourselves to be conned, influenced, exploited, manipulated, disparaged and disrespected and we have allowed that suffering to extend to all forms of life on earth…

It’s obvious that none of these regimes are working for the planet nor the greater majority of its inhabitants.

Centralization of power has driven corruption in religion, government and industry. Brute force and fear, the weapons of choice, all forms of life on earth, the target… something is going to have to give, and soon… what will it be?

Our evolution is in our hands…

With the help of formalized religion, authoritarian governments and capitalism we have lost sight of our reasons for existing in human form at this time on this planet.

We have disengaged from ourselves, our unique inner wisdom and many of the gifts presented by all forms of nature.

By constantly operating outside of self we are by default influenced and manipulated by external factors alone. We look to outside sources for the answers to all our questions, for our learning, for entertainment, for health and well being and for personal reassurance – a commodity that cannot exist outside of self.

None of us knows it all nor are we suppose to go it alone, we are all here to experience what we must to evolve, add value, share wisdom and help others do the same, with the assistance of all that nature has to offer.

Our challenge is to see through the fear based façade presented by formalized religion, authoritarian governments and capitalism. To achieve this we must disengage with fear and re-engage and cultivate a relationship with our inner wisdom by engaging with our true feelings and spending time each day being rather than doing. It’s that simple. Once you commit to a practice that suits you and focus on outcomes that serve you, humanity and the environment, the fear based self serving chatter of external sources ceases to overtly influence your thoughts and actions. Because you can see through the façade.

True inspiration comes from within, be it artistic, academic, problem/solution based or technical innovation and it inevitably delivers better outcomes with the combined forces of multiple participants. For generations fear has seen is hoarding innovative ideas in the form of Intellectual Property/Patients to the detriment of both humanity and the environment. If capitalism alone was not driving both governmental and corporate decision making how might things be different? How might the future of humanity look?

If as a species, we aligned ourselves with the support of basic human rights for all and sensitive, sustainable and respectful use of all of earths natural resources, imagine what we could achieve. Collectively we have unlimited potential, the divisions created by formalized religion, authoritarian governments and capitalism are all part of the façade, if we can see through that anything is possible…
